Canadian Baptist Ministries & Canada Foodgrains Bank
2 Corinthians 8:1-15
The Canada Foodgrains Bank says:
Our goal is a world without hunger.
We work toward this goal by: providing food in times of crisis for hungry people in the developing world; helping people grow more food to better feed themselves and their families; and providing nutritional support to malnourished people with a focus on pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and young children.
We also advocate for public policies that enable families and communities to better feed themselves, and look for ways to engage and educate Canadians about global hunger.
In 2018-19, we helped over 800,000 people in 36 countries. Foodgrains Bank programs are implemented by our member agencies in the developing world. Read our most recent annual report or our most recent audited financial statements.
The Foodgrains Bank is a member of the Humanitarian Coalition.
One of the longtime members of Argyle Road Baptist Church, Arnold Epp, was instrumental in setting up the Canada Foodgrains Bank. He was celebrated during this service.
