Sunday October 11, baby Michaela will be dedicated to the Lord during the worship service.
October 12 is Thanksgiving, a time to give thanks to God for his abundant blessings to us.
Pastor Ryan is leading a book study to go through three books by Carmen Joy Imes in this order: Bearing God’s Name, Being God’s Image, and Becoming God’s Family. The books are available in various formats online at Amazon, Chapters, and other stores. You can also special-order print copies from Pass the Word bookstore in Regina. They are also available as e-books through the Hoopla service at the Regina Public Library, and if you have a library card, you can access them with the Libby app or through Overdrive on a Kobo e-reader.
The online study will begin Wednesday October 21 on zoom. Contact the office for the link.
The in-person study will begin Thursday October 22 at the church.
Pastor Ryan will be away at the Banff Pastors’ Conference November 9-13. Please contact a deacon if you need assistance during this time.
Our Fall Congregational Meeting and Lunch will be on Sunday November 22, downstairs after church. More details to come.
The Finance Committee is preparing a preliminary budget to be presented at the Congregational Meeting in November. If you are a ministry leader in the church and you need a change to your budget, please talk to Norm, Judy, or Katherine V.
Opportunities to Serve
Thanks to everyone who volunteers with our ministries! We believe that God provides each of us with gifts we are to use to build up his church. Talk to Pastor Ryan if you would like to explore how you can be involved in the opportunities below or in any other way.
Do you love to decorate? This is for you! We need someone (or a group) to change the sanctuary decorations for fall, Christmas/winter, Easter, spring/summer.
Our church joins First Baptist Church four times a year in preparing and serving lunches to hungry people downtown. As part of the Sandwich Outreach, we also donate useful items such as disposable razors, band-aids, soap, toothbrushes, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene supplies, toilet paper, warm mitts and socks, and so on. There is a donation bin at the back of the church to collect the items for next time. Thank you for your generosity.
