Our Summer Kids Program runs from June 28 to September 5. Children from age 3 to grade 6 will gather in the Godly Play room to watch a video and do activities.

Pastor Ryan will be on vacation from July 6 to August 3. Contact the office or a deacon if you need assistance.

Sharon will be here for most of July. Watch your emails for updates on which days she will not be in the office and when office will be open.

Our next Sandwich Outreach at First Baptist Church is Saturday August 8. Sign up in the sanctuary if you can come to help make and serve lunches starting at 10:30 in the morning. There is also a box in the sanctuary for donations of toiletries etc. to give away.

Our church is going to Katepwa Lake Camp on the weekend of September 11-13! Accommodations are available in cabins or the lodge, or on the grounds if you want to bring a tent or a trailer. Details are on the paper registration forms in the sanctuary and on the online form. Talk to Katherine V or Debbie P with questions, ideas, or to volunteer. Our worship service on September 13 will be out at the camp, and we will help you find a ride if you need one.

Help Wanted Section

Thanks to everyone who volunteers with our ministries! We believe that God provides each of us with gifts we are to use to build up his church. Talk to Pastor Ryan if you would like to explore how you can be involved in the opportunities below or in any other way.

Our church lawn is doing very well this year with all the rain! But now it needs to be mowed. If you can help, please sign up for a week (or more) in the sanctuary. Many thanks to those who have already signed up for July. The key to the shed is in the office, so call Sharon to arrange to pick it up.

Ingrid has taught the Argyle City class for a number of years now. In the fall, she will be switching to teaching half time, and we will need a teacher to take the other half of the Sundays. If this might be you, talk to Pastor Ryan or Sharon.

Wei He has done a beautiful job of decorating our sanctuary. But she will be stepping down later this year and we will need one or more people to take over. There are lots of decorating supplies available and a small budget for more.

If your children or youth (ages 2 to Grade 12) attend Sunday morning programs at Argyle, please register them if you haven’t already. You can do it online or on a paper form, available at the back of the sanctuary or from your child’s teacher. Note that if you have registered your child in a previous year, you only need to update the form, not fill it all in again. Thanks for helping us keep your children and young adults safe and appropriately cared for.

Opportunities to Serve

Our church joins First Baptist Church four times a year in preparing and serving lunches to hungry people downtown. As part of the Sandwich Outreach, we also donate useful items such as disposable razors, band-aids, soap, toothbrushes, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene supplies, toilet paper, warm mitts and socks, and so on. There is a donation bin at the back of the church to collect the items for next time. Thank you for your generosity.
