Palm Sunday sermon by Pastor Ryan Emmons

Luke 19:36-44 (NLT) ; 路 加 福 音 19:36-44 (CUVS)

This is Pastor Ryan’s sermon series for the weeks leading up to Easter in 2022. He looks in detail at Jesus’ prayer in John 17, which comes at the end of Jesus’ last teachings to his disciples just before he was betrayed. Jesus prays for his followers, but also for all who will believe in him afterwards, which includes us. What did Jesus pray for in his last prayer on Earth? What does he want us to remember?

Pastor Ryan Emmons’ February-March 2022 sermon series, “Encountering Missions”, looks at the “big story of God’s mission: redeeming the whole of creation so that everyone and everything can worship. He uses an idea from Christopher Wright that God does not have a mission for the church; instead, he has a church for his Mission. Part 4 looks at caring for creation as a valid part of mission, as well as supporting those on the front lines of ministering to people across the world. Part 5 looks at viewing our everyday lives as mission wherever God has placed us and in whatever we do right here and now.
