Sound Booth Training

Thanks to everyone who volunteers in the sound booth on Sunday mornings. It is complicated making everything work and we appreciate your willingness to do it.

Here are some videos to get new volunteers familiar with the systems we use. Once you have watched these, you will be scheduled with an experienced person until you are comfortable doing your part of it on your own. Volunteers are also welcome to come to worship practices, or any time the sanctuary is not in use, to play around with the system and get familiar with how it works in a setting where you don’t have to worry about making mistakes.

Sound Board

The sound board lets you control the volume of each mic that is plugged in to the system, as well as creating and saving mixes of inputs to be used again another time. You can set different mixes and levels for the sanctuary, the live stream, hearing-impaired headsets, the stage monitors, and so on.

QU-24 Tutorial Videos (Playlist)

Another playlist of training videos, this time for the QU series of sound boards.

Here is the QU-24 online user manual. And here is a manual as a downloadable PDF. The PDF is also available on the Desktop of our sanctuary computer and this page of our website is bookmarked in the Chrome browser there.

ProPresenter 7

This is the software that controls the slides that appear on the screen and any sound from the computer to the speakers. It also takes input from the camera and sound board and send output to YouTube for our live stream. Here is an introductory video.

There is an extensive collection of training videos for ProPresenter 7 on their website.
