Sunday Morning

Our worship service starts at 10:30 a.m. Dress is casual or as formal as you like, and everyone is welcome! Our usual Sunday service begins with worship in song. Then the children are dismissed to their classes and we have quiet reflection time, scripture readings, a sermon, communal prayer, and closing. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month. We also have coffee available before the service, and coffee and snacks afterwards so everyone can visit.

Here are the songs and scriptures for the current Sunday.

We have coffee before church and coffee & snacks after church each Sunday. If you regularly attend Argyle and can bring snacks, place your labelled goodies donations on the counter in the nursery. (Thank you!) If you are a visitor, just come and enjoy!

We have Sunday morning activities for all ages of children, and all children and youth participating in these need to be registered. This helps us keep your children safe and place them in appropriate activities. If you haven’t already done so, please register your child or young person online or pick up a registration form from the holder on the bulletin board at the back of the sanctuary. Fill in the form and give it to the teacher or put it in the secretary’s mailbox. Thank you!

Babies up to age 2 and parents are invited to use our nursery space, which is located right next to the sanctuary where you can still hear and see the service while your little one rests or plays.

We are very grateful to our children’s ministry workers for their faithfulness in building into the next generation. Some of them will be taking a well-earned break over the Christmas holidays. Regular classes for all ages will resume on Sunday, January 11.

  • Argyle City kids (grades K – 6) will have clipboards in the service December 21-January 4.
  • Argyle Suburbs (grades 7-12) will meet December 21, then take a break.
  • Godly Play, for the youngest children, will continue as usual throughout the holiday season.

During the school year, children aged 2-4 worship, learn, and play together in Godly Play, next to the sanctuary. In summer, they will be joined by older children.

During the school year, kids in grades K-2 and 3-6 will find lots of creative Scripture teaching downstairs in Argyle City. In summer, children up to grade 4 will join the younger children and those in Grade 5 and up will have their own activities.

Pastor Ryan leads a Bible study before our worship service on Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the church library. The group is currently studying the book of 2 Chronicles. The study will pause for the Christmas break on December 28 and January 4, and resume on January 11.

Our church’s vision statement is, “At Argyle Road Baptist, we exist to EMBRACE people and EQUIP them to become Spirit-filled APPRENTICES of Jesus Christ.”

We have activities during the week both in person and on zoom, most in English but some in Mandarin.

If you would like to donate to our church, there are several options. The offering box is at the back of the sanctuary.

You are welcome to wear a mask or not when you come to church. We have masks at the door for children and adults if you want one. There is also hand sanitizer at both doors and in the classroom area, and of course, sinks with soap and water. Please respect each other’s choices and personal space and need to stay healthy. Thank you!
