Everyone is invited to Westhill Park Baptist on Saturday February 7 at 7 pm for Praise & Pies! They will be streaming the House of Worship simulcast with potluck pies in intermission. No charge for admission, but bring a pie if you are able.

On Sunday, February 8 after church, we will have a lunch meeting for singers and musicians on the worship teams and anyone who might like to be. Bring a bag lunch and your observations and thoughts about what is working well and what we could improve. Please sign up at the back.

Our next Sandwich Outreach at First Baptist Church is Saturday February 14. Please sign up or talk to Judy if you can help shop for supplies on Thursday or Friday, or help make and serve lunches on the Saturday morning. Thank you!

House of Mandarin’s Chinese New Year Celebration is on Sunday February 15. It starts with a potluck at 6 pm. Everyone is welcome, even if you don’t speak Mandarin.

Help Wanted Section

Thanks to everyone who volunteers with our ministries! We believe that God provides each of us with gifts we are to use to build up his church. Talk to Pastor Ryan if you would like to explore how you can be involved in the opportunities below or in any other way.

Our Kindergarten to Grade 3 Sunday School class has two new teachers! It would be great to have one or two more to rotate through the weeks with them. Training will be given. Please talk to Pastor Ryan or email the office if you can take on part of this important job. Thank you!

We would love to have more people running the sound booth during a worship service – either the sound board or the projection software, or both. We have posted some links to training videos for the sound board. Training videos for ProPresenter are also available. Please talk to Pastor Ryan or email the office if you are interested.

If your children or youth (ages 2 to Grade 12) attend Sunday morning programs at Argyle, please register them if you haven’t already. You can do it online or on a paper form, available at the back of the sanctuary or from your child’s teacher. Note that if you have registered your child in a previous year, you only need to update the form, not fill it all in again. Thanks for helping us keep your children and young adults safe and appropriately cared for.

Opportunities to Serve

Our church joins First Baptist Church four times a year in preparing and serving lunches to hungry people downtown. As part of the Sandwich Outreach, we also donate useful items such as disposable razors, band-aids, soap, toothbrushes, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene supplies, toilet paper, warm mitts and socks, and so on. There is a donation bin at the back of the church to collect the items for next time. Thank you for your generosity.
